Welcome to Copper Fox Distillery

At Copper Fox Distillery, we dedicate ourselves to making great American spirits. Pot-stilled in small batches, one barrel at a time honoring time-tested methods.

But please note: We go beyond the constraints of habit and routine. And beyond what you might expect. We believe that new ideas about The Art of Whisky must continually be explored, objectively tested, and incorporated into our process when they advance the Evolution of American Whisky. The proof of that process is in the bottle, and in the glass set before you.

For example, when you open your first bottle of Wasmund’s Single Malt, you will experience a range of flavors never before captured in any whisky: Earthy, Woody, Crisp, Robust, Complex, Intriguing. All of the above. As one person said after tasting it for the first time: This whisky does not just speak for itself, it sings!

I know you will enjoy Wasmund’s Single Malt Whisky. Not scotch-like, not bourbon-like, just American Whisky at its best, and on a path of our own.

Rick Wasmund, Master Distiller

“Exceptional”

Tasting notes: Bright copper color. Bold aromas of new suede, saddle soap, crème brulee and toasted banana nut bread follow through on a supple, smooth entry to a dryish medium-full body with orange marmalade, dried apricot and sweet brown spices. Finishes with a very long, slowly evolving, mossy river stone, Peat, cocoa, cereal, and pepper fade. A powerfully delicious and intriguing domestic single malt whisky. Impressive. (Tasted Jan. 29, 2009.)
